9.1.19 Checked the Registers. John J Lea

10.1.19 School reopened on Tuesday 7th Jan. after Christmas holidays.

17.1.19 Miss Murphy and Miss Scanlon absent on Tuesday morning. Both returned in the afternoon.

17.1.19 The attendance has been very poor all the week.

24.1.19 Attendance improved.

31.1.19 The attendance is very low owing to sickness.

7.2.19 The Medical Inspection of the school took place on Monday,

14.2.19 Received notice of Religious Inspection which is to take place on Monday 24th inst.

28.2.19 The Religious Inspection of this school took place on Monday morning Feb. 24th, the registers were therefore not marked.

10.3.19 The Head Teacher who was absent in Thursday and Friday of last week, on account of sickness, returned to her duties this morning.

4.4.19 The children were transferred to their new classes on Tuesday last. Admitted 30 boys and 36 girls from the Infants’ Department, and 24 Boys were transferred to the Boys’ Department

16.5.19 Two ladies visited the school on Thursday afternoon

30.5.19 Thursday being the Feast of the Ascension, and a Holyday of Obligation the school was closed.

4.7.19 Two ladies visited the school on Monday.

11.7.19 Long play given to children in honour of the Peace.

17.7.19 School closes this day at noon for the Midsummer holidays. School visited this morning by the Mayor and Mayoress of Batley. Medals were given to the children in commemoration of the Victorious conclusion of the Great War.
A tea party will be given in the afternoon, and sports will be held in the Cricket Field.

14.8.19 School reopened this morning after the Midsummer holidays, but will be closed tomorrow it being a Holyday of Obligation.

21.8.19 Miss J. Colman Uncert. Assistant was transferred to the Infants’ Dept. on Monday 18th August.
Jane F. North commenced teaching as Student Teacher on the same date.
Miss Murphy (Uncert. Assistant) has been absent since Wednesday 20.8.

29.8.19 Miss Murphy still absent.

11.9.19 School closed today noon for Batley Feast holidays.
Miss Murphy returned to school on Monday 8th Sept.

3.10.19 Four girls three of whom obtained a scholarship are attending St Joseph’s Secondary School, Bradford.

10.10.19 On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon the school closed at 3.45 instead of at 4 o’clock in order that the children may attend the Swimming Gala.

17.10.19 School visited yesterday afternoon by a lady.

24.10.19 Very poor attendance today owing to inclemency of weather.
