Whilst I undertake this research in my own time and at my own expense, in order to maintain this family and local history website I also pay an annual fee.
However, in the current economic climate this is becoming increasingly difficult, and at some point in the near future I may have to reconsider my options. These may include a significantly downgraded website with reduced content, introducing a pay-wall, or even closing it down completely. None are ideal options. My preferred option is to keep the full content online, and free to view.
There is a potential alternative solution.
