Sixty-nine boys took advantage of the opportunity given them by the Director of Education, to visit the “Wild West Show” in the afternoon.

Both teachers being still absent, the school was not opened. Notice was given in the afternoon by the Director of Education, ordering the school to be closed until Thursday morning, 11th July, owing to the prevalence of influenza among the boys.

In the Batley Schools Swimming Competition, the school swimming team succeeded in winning the Talbot Shield.
