I’m thrilled to have been given a whole load of St. Mary of the Angels school photos. I think they date mainly from the 1950s and 1960s, but I have no idea of the names of the children, most of the teachers, and even some of the priests.
I hate the thought of unidentified photos, and it would be lovely to put names to these faces. I also want to share the photos, as they might be of a much wider interest to those in the parish and beyond. So I will be adding them to the one-place study in the coming weeks and months, in the hope that some of you will recognise them and let me know names. You never know – some may be of you, your brothers, sisters, parents, cousins, aunts or uncles etc. I’ll then add in the names to the relevant posts, so they’re there going forward.
You can let me know the names either by commenting via WordPress against the relevant post. Or letting me know on the social media platforms I’ll be sharing to.
In addition to these school photos, it seems a good idea to use this section to add other school photos in future.
Finally, a massive thank you again to the person who donated them. It’s brilliant that these have been preserved, for maybe almost 70 years in some cases.
