Miss O’Carroll has resigned her duties on account of illness, January 7th, 1918.

The School re-opened this morning with the same bad attendance, on account of measles. There are 41 children excluded.

The attendance is still very bad, many children are now allowed to return, but the weather being so severe. Parents seem afraid to send them out.

There is a great deal of sickness among the children, though they have recovered from measles, many are unfit to attend school. Since December 1st, 1917, forty eight families have been excluded, each case for at least a month. The school has suffered a great loss in the attendance. The last quarter of the year, ended January 31st, the average, which ought to have been the highest, is only 129. Quarter ending October 31st was 140.
