Batley Court – Monday
John William Cairns, miner, Victoria Street, Carlinghow, was fined 15s. for having been drunk and riotous. —Defendant said he was teetotal up to last Batley Feast, and he had only taken a drop to keep him warm.
The Family Notices had a number of parish related deaths as follows:
ARMISTEAD. —On 2nd inst., aged 58 years, Mary Armistead, 21, Back Taylor Street.
LAMBERT. —On 2nd inst., aged 67 years, Richard Lambert, 42, Victoria Street, Carlinghow.
FAWCETT. —On 5th inst., aged 76 years, Mary Fawcett, 13, Healey Street.
McGOWAN. —On 6th inst., aged 71 years, James McGowan, Spa Street.
